I read a lot of books. In fact, I am a certifiable bookwyrm. No, that is not a typo—that is “wyrm” as in “dragon”. I am a book dragon. Books are devoured by me.  All sorts of books, too— memoirs, fantasy, classics, romance, historical fiction, historical fantasy, biographies, YA, plays, historical nonfiction, graphic novels, even the occasional children’s book—no book is safe.

In the course of all this reading, I often come across very different books that share a common thread. A fantasy YA novel may touch upon the same idea as a historical account of life in early 20th century England. A memoir may remind me of a graphic novel I’ve read. Connections can be found in the strangest places. I use this space to share some of the unlikely links I have found in literature.

Disclaimer: I typically don’t rate the books I review. My main focus with this blog is to give others a general idea of what a book is about so they can make up their own mind about whether or not to read it. In the case of unlikely read alike book pairings, I may occasionally include books that I myself did not particularly enjoy. For the sake of staying focused, I will try to remain neutral when it comes to comparing these books. That being said, I make no promises—I may occasionally slip up if I have strong feelings one way or the other, but I will try.
